Hi, I’m Stuart Franco, and this is Focus Birmingham.
Over the last 15 years, I have worked in the corporate world of banking and commercial real estate where I assisted the business owners of Central Alabama. While I was pretty content with a career in finance, I had what you would call “a strong interest” in photography & creative pursuits. My friends and family constantly encouraged me to develop my skills and take things to the next level. So I started to work hard to develop my talents. It didn’t take long for me to recognize that my interest in content creation had become a real passion and I dreamed that maybe “one day” I could put those talents to use.
In 2020 that “one day” arrived and I couldn’t be more excited with the results so far. With Focus Birmingham, I am combining my love for storytelling with my genuine desire to help business owners realize their visions.
In a post-Covid world, it’s important for a business to develop the right brand and stand out amongst their competitors. My background of working with businesses owners has given me an understanding of all sides of a business. Certified by Cornell University in marketing & digital strategy, I love developing the right content strategy that will help businesses differentiate themselves in the marketplace. Every business has a story that should be showcased….we just have to find the right angle. Focus Birmingham is not about pretty visuals, its about results. In the last two years, I have helped a variety of organizations exceed their marketing goals with award winning work.
My wife and I live in Homewood where we share a home with our little miracle John Crawford and our sweet yellow lab Julep.

In 2019, I started Cotton State (@cotton_state) on Instagram as a way to show off the beauty of Alabama and the Deep South.
